I have been traveling, spending time off screen and with my family and friends. I thank those of you who have checked on me making sure that I am ok.
I am more than ok. Recently, I floated in Crystal Lake for a few hours in the sun, I helped develop and present a bunch of sessions regarding adult life with muscular dystrophy at the PPMD annual Connect Conference in Orlando, I enjoyed lobster with close friends, and neighbors, and I have been enjoying the woods in my Action Track Chair.
I have unplugged from most news sources to focus on my mental health and I have been reading a lot of good books and playing chess, poker, and board games with my kids. If I am not paying attention, Tim can beat me at chess, and Ted is pretty good at bluffing cards.
My wife is enjoying time in the garden, and chilling in the hammock. Life is pretty sweet right now and I am hopeful that this is the vibe that will continue all summer.
Last year, I shared my address at the lake for anyone interested in sending postcards from different states to my kids. My wife and I debated if this would be lame to do again. I won’t tell you who won the discussion or who was on which side of it. I will tell you this:
When I was a kid, I came to the lake for 2 weeks each summer. Phone calls were “long distance” (look it up kids), and so I didn’t get to make any. My only contact with friends was through the mail. We can bring that back too, if anyone is interested.
Postcards rolled in from 37 states and 3 countries last year….

Please email me to obtain our address: pmoes@comcast.net if you want to mail us a postcard of your travels!!! See? Using technology to undo technology. We can’t have anyone stealing our identity now right?
Enjoy the 4th of July, and as you bite into your burger, think of me. I like burgers. I will think of you as well. We made it to 250. How about that?
Stay safe, stay happy, and stay tuned.
