HEY LOYAL LOYALS, WANNA HEAR A PODCAST?

With a nod toward my goal of global domination, I have thrown my voice into the underdeveloped space of the podcast world.

Just kidding, the podcast world is flooded with all kinds of people talking about all kinds of things. Not kidding about adding my voice, and thoughts to the ever expanding universe.

So, who the hell do I think I am, and what the hell am I up to now?

Years ago, my friend Tricia, wife of my friend Mark (not their real names) said to me, “Pat, it’s always fun talking with you because you always have something fun and exciting going on. Some trip somewhere, some speaking thing in front of a ton of people, or you are dating some great lady….”

Well, I often think about her words as I wander through life. I wonder as I wander, and that has made all the difference. Cue Robert Frost...

Since I hope that I still have miles to go before I sleep, I also hope that I can lend my wisdom of living with a rare, chronic condition to others, especially the generation(s) coming up behind me. A podcast seems like a good way for my obnoxious ass to throw my hat (voice) in the ring.

So why should you listen to this podcast-called “Every Voice Speaks”- which will drop its first teaser episode on or about February 2, 2026?

Well, because I have no filter and no FCC telling me what I can and can’t say….

Don’t worry, that’s not actually why. OK, well it kind of is. But…..but….but…..

I have teamed up with my friend and fellow member of the limb girdle muscular dystrophy word, Kathryn ‘Kat’ Bryant, who runs a non-profit called The Speak Foundation, which is the leading charity in the United States focused on life, treatment, and all things LGMD.

Kat and I will be co-hosting the monthly show and we aim to foster honest conversations, and shared experiences, focused on individual voices. You will hear diagnosis stories, humorously shared through the lens of two hosts (now in our 50’s), recalling the awkwardness of this disease entering our teenage lives.

You will hear the voices of doctors, researchers, clinicians and we will discuss things like how expensive it is to be disabled, what functional benefit looks like in adult life (hint, hint, we don’t need to walk, but it might be nice to toilet myself again….overshare), hilarious accounts of times getting “stuck” because of dead chair batteries, locking doors, or other societal failures.

Basically, you should come and listen because no one else is “Pat and Kat.”

Stay tuned as we look to usurp that Rogan guy, and some show called “The Rest is History.” You know….like that famous line in The Princess Bride: “Aristotle? Plato? Socrates?….Morons.”

Something along those lines will be “Every Voice Speaks.”

I’ll keep you posted when it goes live. You know that you want my voice in your ear while you drive, relax, nap, and chill in the dark. Creepy? You bet. Too far? Never….you can’t help it. Moeschen is in your soul. As my kids say: “You’re cooked.”
